Preschool in the Village is announcing the retirement of two special teachers, Carrie Forleo and Dianne Smith. Miss Carrie has been with PIV since 1998 teaching every age group over the years, most recently the 3-year-old program. Miss Dianne joined us in 2013 to lead the Dragonfly 4-year-olds class, bringing with her years of experience teaching in Massachusetts and Maine. Both Carrie and Dianne guided the early education of hundreds of young children with kindness and patience and a sense of humor, making their classrooms fun places to learn!  They shared these qualities with co-workers too, helping wherever it was needed and being a supportive mentor to new associates. PIV is a better place for the time they spent with us, and we will miss the dedication, professionalism and friendship they brought to PIV every day. We wish you every happiness in your retirement, Carrie and Dianne - - - you will be missed!

RIDE TO END CANCER

REMINDER     Help me celebrate my 75th Birthday with my last 100 mile bike ride of my life. The past few years have been a challenge, but I am moving forward. First I had my meniscus removed, which made my knee bone on bone, making running miserable. Then I was hit by a truck on my bike. This lead to 3 Mini strokes (still have some numbness on my left side). The strokes were caused by a heart issue, which has been corrected. With all that, I still feel fortunate I can still run and bike. If you think this is bad you have never gone through Chemotherapy which all Cancer patients must endure.

There is a sponsor who is matching 100% of all donations, so every dollar donated to my ride is doubled. Plus I am going to personally match the first $250.

I will wear a Yellow Ribbon in Honor or Memory of anyone you want mentioned. Just let me know on my donation page. I will ride with this ribbon and upon completion of the ride I will mail you your Ribbon.

More than one third of all people will be diagnosed with cancer at some point in their lifetimes. That’s why I joined The Prouty. All of the funds I raise go toward cutting-edge cancer research and crucial patient support services at the Cancer Center. Visit my page here.

All funds raised will help fund innovative researchers and clinicians who are dedicated to finding ways to prevent, diagnose, and treat cancer.

      Thank you for your support!

State Flower

The purple lilac (syringa vulgaris) was chosen because it symbolizes the hardy character of the men and women of the Granite State.
